How to Get Paid

Connecteam & Tracking Hours

In order to track hours, we use an app called Connecteam. It is available on all phone platforms and on computers. It is imperative that you clock in and out every day you work. If you made a mistake, please edit the shift and Tiff or April  will approve it for you. Any days you work under ‘Admin’ must have a note attached explaining your tasks for the day.

Invoicing

To learn how to invoice properly please go to this link here or to exodusensemble.com/resources and click ‘How to Invoice’. For questions regarding your pay rate please reach out to Sharon at bookkeeper@exodusensemble.com You will have two payment options.

  • Option 1: Twice a month: You can be paid semi-monthly, with payments based on cut-off dates on the 15th and the end of the month. Invoices for these payments are due on the 16th for the first half of the month and on the 1st for the second half.

  • Option 2: Once a month: You can choose to be paid monthly for the previous month’s work. Invoices for this option are due on the 1st of each month.

Housing

We provide Guest Housing for folks who are from out of town & will be here for 3 months or less. If you have been provided Guest Housing, Tiff will have sent you a housing agreement. Please look over this agreement and send it back to her, signed, before your first work day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I required to bring my own costumes?

For the past four years, we have been using our own clothes, shoes, and sometimes even props! We understand this is not ideal for everyone and it is completely up to you whether you would like to use your own clothes as costumes. If you would like to use your own clothing, what happens to your clothes during runs & rehearsals (wear & tear, damage, etc) is not the responsibility of the company. If you would like to opt out of using your own clothes during runs, Exodus will provide you with a clothing stipend no greater than $25  that will be used strictly for the show that it was bought for. Once the run is complete, the shows bought with the stipend should be returned to Exodus.

What is the Best Way to Contact Folks?

As a part of the onboarding process, you will be added into our SLACK - our company's messaging app. It’s basically like texting but for work. This is the most effective way to communicate with folks within the company.

Where do I go?

Our stage manager will always include an address for where you  need to go. Our most frequent address is: Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA) - Address: 1050 Old Pecos Trail

What do I do if I Get Sick?

We are constantly working in close proximity to each other! This means, if one person gets sick, we all get sick. We would love to prevent this from happening! In the event that you are ill, please email or call the stage manager as soon as you start feeling symptoms and let them know. We will then assess the situation.

If you are ill and unable to perform, the person that is your double will then be responsible for performing that night. If the double is unable to perform or if there is no double, the show will be canceled. Please do not come into work if you are feeling unwell.

Where do props go?

Anything that is at CCA has a place to go! We have prop shelves in the backroom that are labeled.  If you find you are unsure where an item goes (prop, LED, etc.), please ask Bel. You will have a designated space to put your belongings in at CCA, please place your items there at top of day and refrain from leaving your things around in the space.

Purchases

For ALL purchases (whether made with a credit card or any other method), please email the receipt showing the full date and specify which show the item(s) were purchased for. Send this information immediately, either while in the store or as soon as you get to your car, to Bookkeeper@exodusensemble.com.
